Outdoor SunSpaces News
Verandas are an extremely popular choice for the garden right now. Thousands of Britons spent their summers under stylish glass verandas, and they've continued to sell well into the autumn months, perhaps because they allow homeowners to spend time outdoors even when the weather is rotten.

Glass Veranda

DIY glass verandas are available from countless UK suppliers, but we at SunSpaces firmly believe that our service is head and shoulders above everybody else's. For one thing, we're capable of designing a completely bespoke garden structure for your property, and we'll happily install it for you, too - how many of our competitors offer that?

But our service isn't the only thing that sets SunSpaces apart from the rest of the market. The quality of our materials is also second to none: your glass veranda will be roofed with 8mm toughened glass or, alternatively, sturdy polycarbonate sheets that come with a 10 year warranty as standard. The actual structure of your veranda will be made of high-grade aluminium.

SunSpaces Showroom

If you're interested in our garden rooms, but you'd like to take a closer look at what we have to offer before you make any purchasing decisions, then we strongly recommend a visit to one of our outdoor living showrooms. We have locations in both Cardiff and Slough, making us easily accessible from most places in England and Wales.

Why visit your nearest SunSpaces showroom?

Because, to quote Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, there ain't nothing like the real thing! We think we've done a pretty good job of showing off our products here on the SunSpaces website, but things like garden rooms and verandas really must be seen in the flesh (or, indeed, the metal) in order to properly appreciate their appeal.

Visiting your local SunSpaces showroom will also give you the opportunity to speak with us face-to-face. Garden rooms are really just the start of what we're able to offer our customers; we do our best to provide a completely holistic outdoor living service, and we'd love to discuss our various other products - including our garden furniture and outdoor flooring options - with you in person. If you're interested, we can even start putting together a 3D design of your garden room!

How to find us

Getting to your local SunSpaces showroom is easy - click here for directions to our showroom in Cardiff, or here for directions to our Slough location. Alternatively, call 029 2037 1575 to speak with a member of the SunSpaces team.
Sunroom in autumn

If you thought that our sunrooms were only suitable for sunny days...think again! We may call ourselves SunSpaces, but our mission is to help our customers to get the most from their outdoor spaces no matter what the weather's doing.

With autumn now upon us (and winter right behind it), a lot of British gardens will now remain unused until spring arrives and the temperature becomes a little more friendly. But the changing of the seasons doesn't have put your outdoor living space into retirement every year - even when it's cold outside, a sunroom from SunSpaces can still be a wonderful place to spend an afternoon.

Staying warm in your sunroom

One of the obvious benefits of a walled garden room is the protection it affords you from the elements. Wind, rain, and cold weather won't bother you when you're snug inside your SunSpace...and if the sun should happen to show its face, you can always open the doors and let the warmth in!

Need a bit of extra heat? No problem - our garden rooms and verandas can be supplied with 2KW heaters if required. Of course, our glass extensions are naturally quite warm on the inside anyway, but if you like things extra-toasty, who are we to judge?

We also offer optional draught seals to complement our sunrooms. Fitting one of these will ensure that cold draughts cannot enter your garden room and spoil the warm, cosy environment you've created for yourself.

Modern extension

Adding an extension to your home is a very rewarding endeavour, but it can also be extremely challenging. Extensions often require planning permission and extensive (no pun intended!) building work, all of which will add to the already sizeable cost of the materials themselves.

Fortuantely, there is another way. We feel that SunSpaces garden structures are the perfect alternative to standard home extensions; if you're looking for an easy, affordable way to expand your living space, our stylish, modern extensions may well be exactly what you're after.

Here are just a few of the reasons why:
  • SunSpaces almost never require planning permission. In the vast majority of circumstances, our garden rooms can be installed without obtaining permission or consulting the local planning office beforehand. The only exceptions are listed buildings, conservation areas, and garden rooms that would encroach on property borders once built; if one of these applies to you, we recommend contacting the relevant planning authority before proceeding with the project.

  • You can build our garden rooms yourself - no professional help is necessary! We specialise in DIY extensions, and even if you've no relevant experience whatsoever, you should find that constructing your garden room or veranda is a walk in the park. Each of our structures is supplied with a clear assembly guide and an instructional DVD to ensure that you know exactly what you're doing from start to finish. And if you'd rather leave the work to a professional, don't worry - we also offer a full Adding an extension to your home is a very rewarding endeavour, but it can also be extremely challenging.
